Welcome to Chalo. This Terms of Service (hereinafter referred to as "this Agreement") applies to your use of the Chalo application, website, products, content, and other services (collectively referred to as "Services"), operated by us (hereinafter referred to as "we", "us" or "Chalo"). You and Chalo will be the parties to this Agreement.
This Agreement constitutes a legally binding agreement between you and us. Please read carefully.
Important Notes:
Please note that Chalo does not tolerate content that is offensive, abusive, humiliating, or violates laws, regulations, and social morals. If you post such content, we reserve the right to ban your account. If you find other users posting such prohibited content, you can report it to us at any time. We will review within 24 hours regarding porn, violence, gambling, and similar content.
Our Services are only available to individuals who are 18 years of age (or the minimum age of majority as determined by local laws) or older. If you have not reached the age of majority, please do not use our Services. If we discover that a minor is using our Services, we will terminate that account.
By accessing or using our Services, you agree to be bound by this Agreement and our Privacy Policy, and you confirm that you are capable of entering into a legally binding contract with us. For certain specific activities or services, we may also post separate policies within our Services; please remember to read them.
Without affecting your legal rights, we reserve the right to revise this Agreement at any time. Please regularly review this Agreement to check for any such changes. Your continued access to or use of our Services after the new Agreement takes effect signifies your acceptance of the new Agreement. If you do not agree with the new Agreement, you must stop accessing or using our Services.
1. Registration and Account
We provide different ways to register a Chalo account, such as Google, email, etc. Without our written permission, you may not transfer your account to anyone, nor may you create an account for anyone other than yourself without permission.
We reserve the right to terminate your account under reasonable and legal circumstances. If you violate this Agreement, or otherwise create risk or possible legal exposure for us, then we have the right at our sole discretion, at any time and without liability or the need to give you prior notice or to refund any unused services to:
a. Suspend or revoke your registration (where applicable) and your right to access and/or use Chalo or submit any Content to Chalo;
b. Make use of any available operational, technological, legal, or other means to enforce this Agreement (including without limitation blocking specific IP addresses);
c. We will try (but we are not obliged) to notify you if access to Chalo and/or your Profile is to be or has been suspended or terminated.
If you no longer wish to use our Services again, you can request deletion of your account through "Me" > "Settings" > "Account Management" > "Delete Account" in the app. For more information about your right to erasure and deletion of your personal information, please refer to our Account Deletion Policy.
If we terminate your account, you will not be able to use Chalo. You may contact us to find out the reason and seek assistance.
You understand and accept that due to reasons including but not limited to force majeure and security concerns, Chalo may not provide application online services or payment services in Iran, North Korea, Sudan, Syria, Cuba, Myanmar, Yemen, Iraq, Somalia, and other places. The specific service delivery time shall be comprehensively assessed by Chalo and other necessary authorities.
2. Community Guidelines and Monitoring Strategies
You are able to post photographs, messages and other content ("Content") on Chalo. You own all of the content and information you post on Chalo. However, you may not post the following content on our Services:
a. contains information, comments, or any other forms of content about a person who is under 18 years old;
b. which could be considered offensive or might harass, disturb, embarrass, caution, or annoy anyone;
c. which is obscene, pornographic, or otherwise offensive to human dignity;
d. which is defamatory, abusive, insulting or threatening, or promotes or encourages racism, sexism, hatred or bigotry;
e. encourages any illegal activity including, without limitation, terrorism, inciting racial hatred, or the submission of which in itself constitutes committing a criminal offence;
f. contains any spyware, viruses, corrupt files, worm programs or other malicious code designed to interrupt, damage or limit the functionality of or disrupt any software, hardware, telecommunications, networks, servers or other equipment, Trojan horse or any other material designed to damage, interfere with, wrongly intercept or expropriate any data or personal information whether from Chalo or otherwise;
g. infringes any third party's rights (including, without limitation, intellectual property rights and privacy rights).
In addition to the above content restrictions, you should also comply with the following obligations:
a. You shall not infringe the legal rights of others through our services.
b. You will not use our copyrights or trademarks or any confusingly similar marks, except as expressly permitted with our prior written permission.
c. You will not post unauthorized third-party data. What's more, you must not post any people's identification documents or sensitive financial information on Chalo.
d. You will not do any commercial activities (including, without limitation, sales, competitions and advertising, links to other websites or premium line telephone numbers) or involves the transmission of "junk" mail or "spam";
e. You may not use any technical means or in any way circumvent, attack, disrupt our services, or interfere with or damage the normal operation of the services and other users' experience, including spreading viruses, adware, or other malicious code in any way.
f. You may not reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble or otherwise attempt to discover the source code of the Services or any part thereof, except and only to the extent that this activity is expressly permitted by the law of your jurisdiction of residence;
g. Other behaviors that harm our services, users, and any violation of laws and regulations.
You understand and agree that if you violate the above provisions, we have the right to immediately block your account, and you shall bear all losses caused to us and related parties due to your violation.
4. Privacy
Your privacy is very important to us. We designed our Privacy Policy to make important disclosures about how you can use Chalo to share with others and how we collect and can use your content and information. We encourage you to read the Privacy Policy, and to use it to help you make informed decisions.
5. Proprietary Rights
a. We explicitly do not assert any ownership over the text, files, images, photos, videos, sounds, musical works, authorship pieces, applications, or other materials ("Content") that you share on or via our Services. When you make any Content available on or through the Chalo Services, you are effectively providing Chalo with a non-exclusive, fully compensated, royalty-free, global license that permits the company to employ, alter, remove, append, perform publicly, show publicly, copy, and translate the Content. This includes the right to circulate all or a portion of the Content across any media formats and channels. However, any Content that is not made public will remain within the Chalo Services and will not be disseminated externally.
b. You affirm and guarantee that: (i) you are the rightful owner of the Content you post on or through the Chalo Services, or you possess the appropriate authorization to grant the license mentioned in this section; (ii) your posting and use of the Content on or through the Chalo Services do not infringe on any individual's privacy rights, publicity rights, copyrights, contractual rights, intellectual property rights, or any other rights; and (iii) your posting of the Content on our Services does not cause you to violate any agreement with another party. You also agree to bear any royalties, fees, and other payments due to anyone as a result of the Content you publish on or through the Chalo Services.
c. Our Services contain Content of Chalo ("Chalo Content"). Chalo Content is protected by copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret and other laws, and Chalo owns and retains all rights in the Chalo Content and the Chalo Services. Chalo hereby grants you a limited, revocable, nonsublicensable license to reproduce and display the Chalo Content (excluding any software code) solely for your personal use in connection with viewing the Site and using the Chalo Services.
d. Our Services contain Content of Users and other Chalo licensors. Except as provided within this Agreement, you may not copy, modify, translate, publish, broadcast, transmit, distribute, perform, display, or sell any Content appearing on or through the Chalo Services.
e. Although the Site and other Chalo Services are normally available, there will be occasions when the Site or other Chalo Services will be interrupted for scheduled maintenance or upgrades, for emergency repairs, or due to failure of telecommunications links and equipment that are beyond the control of Chalo. Also, although Chalo will normally only delete Content that violates this Agreement, Chalo reserves the right to delete any Content for any reason, without prior notice. Deleted content may be stored by Chalo in order to comply with certain legal obligations and is not retrievable without a valid court order. Consequently, Chalo encourages you to maintain your own backup of your Content. In other words, Chalo is not a backup service. Chalo will not be liable to you for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the Chalo Services, or the loss of any Content.
6. Virtual Items
You can purchase gold coins (coins are not real money, do not have monetary value) through Chalo, which can then be used to buy corresponding virtual gifts, decorations. The price is based on the amount displayed on the recharge page.
You understand and agree that we do not handle any payment or deductions involving real currency; such transactions are processed by third-party payment providers or service providers (for example, Apple's iOS Store and Google's Google Play Store). Some third-party service providers may charge you sales tax depending on your location; please refer to the relevant terms of the third-party service providers for details. As a result, the price of gold coins may vary according to the exchange rates of your country, the policies of the payment service providers, and other factors. We reserve the right to adjust the prices of the gold coins at any time.
After the purchase is completed, the gold coin balance will be credited to your user account. Gold coins cannot be exchanged for the legal currency of any country, region, or any political entity in any form. Gold coins can only be used within our services as part of our services and cannot be combined or used in conjunction with other promotions, coupons, discounts, or special offers unless we permit it.
Gold coins are not permitted to be bought or transferred between users, and we prohibit anyone from selling or buying gold coins outside of official channels or engaging in similar misconduct. If discovered, we reserve the right to ban the offending account at any time and seek compensation.
Unless otherwise agreed by laws and regulations, all recharge actions are final and we do not accept any refund requests.
7. Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability
Chalo's services are provided "as is" without any form of warranty. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Chalo shall not be liable for any damages (including loss of profits or data). Chalo's total liability shall be limited to the amount you paid for the service (if any).
8. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold Chalo harmless from any claims, damages, or legal expenses arising from your use of the platform, violation of these terms, or infringement of third-party rights.
9. Legal Jurisdiction
These terms are governed by Singapore law. Disputes shall first be resolved through friendly negotiation. If not resolved within 30 days, the dispute shall be submitted to the Singapore International Arbitration Centre (SIAC), with arbitration proceedings conducted in English. The arbitral award shall be final and binding on both parties.
10. General Provisions
Failure to enforce any provision of these terms does not constitute a waiver. If any provision is deemed unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in effect. These terms constitute the complete agreement between you and Chalo regarding your use of this platform.
